In this article, quartz instrument manufacturers will take everyone to understand how quartz glass crucibles are produced.
Quartz glass crucible is an important accessory for drawing solar monocrystalline silicon rods. In the production process of the quartz crucible, the arc high temperature melting method is generally used to produce the quartz crucible. That is to pour high-purity quartz sand into the cavity of the rotating graphite mold, and use sand scraping molding tools to form it, so that the quartz sand is evenly distributed on the inner surface of the cavity of the graphite mold to form a quartz crucible body. Then the graphite electrode is inserted into the cavity, and the current is applied to cause the graphite electrode to emit a high-temperature arc to burn the green body. After a certain melting time, the quartz sand green body forms a quartz crucible blank, and then the quartz crucible is completed after cutting and cleaning. production. Because graphite has special properties such as high temperature resistance, high strength, good plasticity, and good thermal shock resistance, the mold used in it is made of high-purity graphite material. As shown in FIG. 1 , the conventional mold 9 is generally of an all-graphite structure, and a certain number of vent holes 91 run through the mold wall. The hole section 93 near the inner surface of the mold has a smaller aperture, and the hole section 94 near the outer surface of the mold has a larger aperture. A device 95 for fixing filter material is provided on the peripheral wall of the hole section 94 . In the mold for making the quartz crucible with the above structure, the filter material is placed in the hole section 94 close to the outer surface of the mold, and in the process of melting the quartz crucible, the content of the vent hole is close to the hole section 93 on the inner surface of the mold during the air extraction process. It is easy to be blocked and filled by the quartz crucible powder being prepared, resulting in a sharp increase in the pressure drop at both ends of the vent hole, and poor air extraction effect, which directly affects the quality of the final quartz crucible.
